ST plastic optical fiber extension cable is a dedicated connecting component designed for fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement systems, acting as a signal transmission bridge between the fluorescent sensing probe and the signal demodulation module. It is developed and optimized specifically for the application requirements of fluorescence temperature sensing, and has outstanding performance advantages compared with ordinary communication optical fiber cables.

Different from standard telecommunication fibers, this extension cable is specially optimized for fluorescent temperature sensing applications, with more suitable optical properties, which can ensure efficient transmission of fluorescence signals carrying temperature information, and reduce signal attenuation and distortion during transmission.

It maintains excellent compatibility with the rare earth fluorescent material sensing terminal of the fluorescent probe, can perfectly match the wavelength band of the excitation light and the emitted fluorescence signal, and avoids the signal transmission distortion caused by the mismatch of fiber material and optical properties. In addition, the plastic optical fiber has better flexibility than quartz fiber, with a minimum short-term bending radius of 4.4cm and a long-term bending radius of 13.2cm, which is more suitable for installation in narrow space scenarios.

This extension cable inherits the core advantages of fiber optic temperature sensing systems: it has excellent electrical insulation, anti-electromagnetic interference and high voltage resistance. When the extension cable is 0.4m away from the ground, it can withstand 100KV power frequency voltage for 5 minutes, which is very suitable for temperature monitoring of high-voltage electrical equipment, power system transformers and other scenarios with strong electromagnetic interference. It can also adapt to harsh industrial environments, maintain stable performance in high temperature and high humidity environments, and provides reliable support for long-term continuous temperature monitoring.
