What are the main categories of fiber tails

Tail fiber is mainly divided into single core tail fiber, double core tail fiber, 4 core tail fiber, 12 core bundle tail fiber, 12 color bundle tail fiber, SC bundle tail fiber, FC bundle tail fiber, LC bundle tail fiber and ST bundle tail fiber and so on.  

There are many types of tail fibers to choose from:  

There are multi-mode (OM1, OM2, OM3) and single-mode (OS2) according to the optical fiber mode.  

According to the number of optical fibers, there are single optical fibers, double optical fibers and multiple optical fibers.  

There are PC, UPC and APC depending on the type of grinding and polishing of the connector.  

The tail fiber has an external sheath to protect the tightly packed buffer cable from damage.  The outer sheath can be easily removed when space allows, so that the tail fiber has a tighter bend radius and occupies less space.  

In addition, the tail can be divided into single-mode tail and multi-mode tail, which can be distinguished by color, wavelength and transmission distance.  The outer sheath color of the multi-mode tail fiber is orange OM1/OM2 and lake blue OM3. The wavelength of the multi-mode tail fiber is 850nm and the transmission distance is 500m, which is used for short distance connection.  The outer sheath of single-mode tail fiber is yellow in color and has a wavelength of 1310nm or 1550nm, and its transmission distance is longer, up to 10km or 40km.
